Macqueen Veterinary Centre in Devizes has issued advice, with signs often mistaken for excitement or anxiety.
Kate Brown, practice manager at Macqueen Veterinary Centre, said: "These signs are often mistaken for excitement or nervous energy.
While vomiting is commonly associated with travel sickness, subtler behaviours such as lip licking, excessive yawning, panting, or restlessness can also indicate discomfort.
"If left unmanaged, travel sickness can worsen over time, with some dogs becoming increasingly reluctant to travel altogether."
Ms Brown said: "There are effective treatments available, so if your dog shows signs of travel sickness, it’s always worth speaking to your vet."
