The identity of a woman found hanging from a tree behind a Jackson home has been released. The woman, who was found dead on Monday night, was identified as 29-year-old Tasia Fortune. Crime scene investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Jackson Police Department at (601) 960-1800 or Crime Stoppers at (601) 355-8477. Howard said the woman’s body was transported to the Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
