Malana (Kullu): In the heart of the Western Himalayas, an ancient tradition came to life in late July 2026. Raja Ghepan, the revered guardian deity of the Lahaul Valley, embarked on a historic 136-kilometer foot pilgrimage to the isolated village of Malana—home to his brother deity, Jamlu Rishi (Jamdagni Rishi). Raja Ghepan did not make the journey alone. As Raja Ghepan and Jamlu Rishi reunited:Thunderous beats of dhol-nagada (traditional drums) and trumpets echoed across the Parvati Valley. Brother deities exchanged divine blessings in a deeply emotional ceremony.
