Hertfordshire County Council plans to close Garden Road in Abbots Langley from its junction with Breakspear Road, covering the road’s entire length, from August 10. There will be no alternative route available during the works, but access will be maintained where possible. Parking will be suspended on both sides of the road while works are in progress. A Hertfordshire County Council spokesperson said: "The order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road." While the order will remain in effect for up to 18 months, the road will only be closed during the five-day works period.
