Dozens of 'eyesore' boulders to be removed from village green - but 92 will remain

Croxley Green Parish Council has confirmed work along The Green will begin tomorrow (August 7) as it has agreed to donate the parking barriers to Chiltern Open Air Museum.

The boulders along The Green, Croxley Green (Image: Three Rivers District Council)However, many residents and community groups claimed they did more harm than good and labelled them a “dreadful mess”, an “absolute eyesore”, and “absolutely horrid”.
Three Rivers District Council installed the boulders at the request of the parish council, which bought and owned them.
District council leader Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst said: “We will continue to work cooperatively with Croxley Green Parish Council to find a solution to The Green that works for residents and the parish council.
