Two Schenectady men, 3 minors charged in gang assault at Thruway rest stop

FLORIDA, N.Y. (WNYT) — State Police said two Schenectady men and three teenage boys were charged after an assault at a Thruway rest area in Montgomery County.
Police said the five passengers attacked the two workers, and a 16-year-old boy cut one employee with a utility knife before the group left.
State Police said Sincere T. Germain, 21, and Jermaine B. Alterma Jr., 19, were charged with first-degree gang assault.
A 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy from Schenectady were also charged with first-degree gang assault.
Police said a 16-year-old Schenectady boy was charged with first-degree gang assault, second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
