Google Maps is getting a dose of Personal Intelligence and more useful AI features, all courtesy of Gemini and Google’s unrelenting vision to bring agentic experiences to many of its apps and services. The Google Maps team announced a few new features this week. For example, you can utilize the Ask Maps feature to find you your favorite food dish, add it to your cart, and checkout all from within Google Maps. Ask Maps also has the ability to access local information, such as hotel and local event details. The Personal Intelligence features are turned off by default, so if interested, you’ll need to enable.
