Crews are battling a brush fire in a remote area of the Antelope Valley that triggered evacuation warnings on Thursday, officials said. The "Dora Fire" — now 850 acres — was first reported near 210th Street West and Highway 138 just before 2:30 p.m. Nearly an hour later, it was declared a two-alarm fire, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
