It is in Zunyi, Guizhou Province in Southwest China. The closest US proximate to Guizhou is probably the Southern Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Alabama. My parents worked at the top-secret classified Base X61 near Zunyi, which was a sprawling aerospace and missile production network. The village that has taken over the old Base X61. Here is something I never expected in my wildest dream as a youngster – I now proudly claim that I am a digital hillbilly from Guizhou.
