‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Becomes Fastest Pic To Cross Half Billion At Domestic Box Office
["Anthony D'Alessandro"]
Deadline
Sony/Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to do whatever a Spider-Man movie does, and that’s breaking more box office records.
The Tom Holland-Zendaya starrer becomes the 23rd movie to gross north of $500M at the North American box office, a list that’s led by 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens with $936.6M.
It took Force Awakens 10 days to pass a half-billion Stateside, while the previous Spidey flick, Spider-Man: No Way Home, took 12 days to hit that mark in 2021.
After today, the running cume for Brand New Day will stand at an estimated $508.8M.
On Wednesday, Brand New Day grossed $32.7M, becoming the second-best Wednesday ever for a non-opening title behind Force Awakens‘ $38M on December 23, 2015.
