–– The Shoshone National Forest branch of the USDA Forest Service recently reported a fire, dubbed the “Pinnacles Fire,” outside of Cody.
A social media post from the Forest Service says that the fire is currently aflame at the head of the Fish Hawk Drainage area, south of Howell Mountain.
It is, as of noon Thursday, estimated to be between 1 and 2 acres in size.
One helicopter is on the scene, and additional aviation and firefighters have been ordered, the post says.
“Please avoid using the Fish Hawk Trailhead, as resources will be operating out of the area,” the post continues.
