Julianna Washburn/Houston Public MediaEmergency crews in Galveston battled a fire Wednesday night at a seafood warehouse, where three people and a dog were rescued and no injuries were reported, according to a city spokesperson. The structure fire at Texas Gulf Seafood, located near 7th Street and Wharf Road, was contained by early Thursday morning, city spokesperson Marissa Barnett wrote in a news release. “Residents may continue to see smoke in the area throughout the day [Thursday] as the structure continues to smolder,” Barnett wrote. The Galveston Fire Department responded to the fire at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to Barnett, who said multiple other agencies from Galveston County and the Port of Houston also responded.
