JAMESTOWN — Rowan Gibson did pretty well at her first-ever Ninja competition. Rowan, a student at Roosevelt Elementary in Jamestown, competed at the North Central Ninja Series (NCNS) Area Qualifier on Sept. 20 at Four Star Ninja Academy in Fargo. The 6-year-old placed 14th at the competition and has qualified for the NCNS Finals. ADVERTISEMENTRowan was the only female athlete at the area qualifier not attached to a ninja training gym. Since qualifying for the finals, the family has shuttled back and forth between Fargo and Bismarck so Rowan can train at a ninja facility.
