Ukraine had also struck Rosneft’s Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery the day before.
This follows a recent 40-day operation by Ukraine’s Security Service, which carried out over 100 strikes throughout Russia, including 14 oil refineries.
In early July, Ukraine struck the Omsk oil refinery, described by Reuters as Russia’s largest, halting processing.
The strikes on refineries have been coupled with attacks on oil tankers and other infrastructure, as part of Ukraine’s strategy for disrupting Russia’s energy setup.
Another report this week by Bloomberg News put Russian oil capacity at a 24-year low.
