ASHVILLE, Ohio — The Village of Ashville’s Parks, Recreation, & Planning Committee will hear a presentation on a proposed park design plan when it meets Monday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m.Matt Leasure of Designing Local, Ltd. is scheduled to walk the committee through the plan, according to the meeting agenda posted by the village. Leasure is a principal at the Columbus-based firm, which specializes in landscape architecture, urban planning and public space design. Designing Local was founded in 2014 and describes its approach as using community input to shape parks, trails, streetscapes and other public spaces. The committee’s agenda for Monday’s meeting also includes a roll call, approval of minutes from its June 11 meeting and a chairperson’s report, in addition to the presentation on the park design plan. The village has also updated the committees section of its website, ashvilleohio.gov, adding a page where residents can find committee membership, meeting schedules, agendas and minutes.
