Director Leslie Iwerks said:“I wanted to understand what ignites the imaginations of the storytellers behind some of the world’s most beloved stories. Ahead of its streaming debut, Disney Worldbuilders will receive its world premiere at D23, Disney’s fan convention, on 16 August, where attendees will be the first to see the documentary in full. Leslie Iwerks is the granddaughter of Ub Iwerks, Walt Disney’s original animation collaborator and the co-creator of Mickey Mouse, while her father, Don Iwerks, was an inventor and camera specialist at Walt Disney Imagineering. Disney Worldbuilders begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ from 20 August.
