Zimbabwe has begun examining possible legal reforms to better protect intersex people.
Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi attended alongside Labour Minister Edgar Moyo.
Officials called for greater public awareness about intersex conditions and experiences.
“Basically what we have done is we have received a court challenge regarding this issue (intersex) and we referred it to the Attorney General,” he said.
He also pointed to cases where parents struggle to understand intersex characteristics.
