JEFFERSON – Fresh off a graduate assistant position at her alma mater, LeTourneau University, Aubree McCann took a leap of faith when the Jefferson High School volleyball program was seeking a new volleyball coach. After the departure of Jade Strother to Jacksonville, Jefferson was looking for the perfect head coach to be its fourth coach in four years. Just like Jefferson softball head coach Hannah Howard, McCann earned a head coaching role straight out of LeTourneau. Prior to accepting the head coaching role, McCann starred on the Sabine High School volleyball team and played for three colleges. Wager instilled coaching qualities in McCann that would prove invaluable years later as she ventures into the head coaching role.
