THREE University of Aberdeen projects have been supported by a net zero funding project which helps out research into Scottish sustainability challenges. The Scotland Beyond Net Zero (SBNZ) seed fund will support three projects involving University of Aberdeen researchers which explore innovative ways to reach net zero. Projects carried out by the researchers will cover renewable energy, sustainable diets and the circular economy, which are the three key areas of net zero research. The first project will see a collaboration between Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University and the University of Aberdeen to explore geothermal heating projects. Robert Gordon University researchers will again work alongside the city’s other university in the circular economy campaign.
