The homeowner reported being awakened after three individuals entered the residence, Nadeau said. The owners told the Peaks Island News that they were sound asleep when they heard noises outside their first-floor bedroom door, and the couple assumed it was one of their children. Nadeau said the last Peaks Island burglary on record was in June 2020.
