ARROWSIC – Robert “Bob” Kalish passed away peacefully, one day shy of his 86th birthday, on the morning of July 31, 2026, at Midcoast Hospital, in the company of his wife of 40 years, Eloise Vitelli. Bob was born on Aug. 1, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo., to Simon and Goldie Kalish. He graduated from University City High School in 1958 and, in 2017, was inducted into the University City High School Hall of Fame. Before college, Bob enlisted in the Coast Guard, which brought him to the shores of Lake Michigan and the New Jersey coast. Bob is survived by his wife, Eloise; his sister, Sheila, his brother, Randy and wife Liz; his sons Sam Reitman, Will Kalish and wife Alexa; and his grandson, Emet.
