According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Edwards left Jurassic World 5 due to creative differences. Initially, David Leitch was set to direct Jurassic World Rebirth. In a statement, they wrote, “We had an incredible experience working with Gareth on Jurassic World Rebirth.” Before directing Jurassic World Rebirth, he made the sci-fi film The Creator. Rebirth was the fourth Jurassic World movie and the seventh film in the overall Jurassic franchise.
