The Pittsburgh Steelers’ weekend practice at Latrobe Memorial Field is shifting to a 6 p.m. Saturday start, breaking a long-standing “Friday Night Lights” tradition amid several changes to training camp under coach Mike McCarthy. “It’s not a day-of kind of thing,” said Gustafson, the athletic director for Greater Latrobe High School. Gustafson noted that weather may impact attendance, but the event will go on as scheduled unless there is lightning. Proceeds from ticket sales, concessions, and 50-50 raffles go directly to Greater Latrobe School District athletics and other local organizations involved in the event. Practice is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and will conclude with a Zambelli fireworks show.
