The ruling requires a Jordanian company to pay financial compensation following a dispute over the supply of medical materials that failed to meet agreed specifications. According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice, the ministry’s Legal Department successfully represented the Iraqi pharmaceutical company throughout all stages of the legal proceedings before Jordanian courts. The case involved a supply contract under which the Jordanian company was expected to provide metal covers for medical supplies. Director of the Legal Department, Haitham Mohi Radi, said the final judgment issued by the Jordanian Court of Cassation, and upheld by both the Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance, ordered the Jordanian company to pay financial amounts to the Samarra-based pharmaceutical company. The ministry added that the case demonstrates the expertise and professionalism of Iraq’s legal teams in handling international commercial disputes.
