Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) has successfully completed the rehabilitation of oil well WQ1-132 at the West Qurna 1 oil field, marking another step in Iraq’s efforts to enhance oil production efficiency and support the long-term development of its energy sector. The project was carried out as part of the company’s operational program to improve well performance and maintain sustainable crude oil production. The company noted that relying on local expertise strengthens operational efficiency while supporting the continued development of Iraq’s oil infrastructure. West Qurna 1 is one of Iraq’s largest producing oil fields and plays a significant role in the country’s crude oil output. Ongoing rehabilitation and maintenance projects are designed to ensure production stability, improve operational reliability, and meet the technical requirements of field development programs.
