Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has strongly dismissed claims by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that he diverted eCitizen funds. Former DP and DCP party boss Rigathi Gachagua during an engagement at his Wamunyoro residence in July 2026. Murkomen also dismissed claims that Gachagua holds any real authority as a so-called ‘Rift Valley Kingpin’, calling the title imaginary. CS Murkomen claims these gatherings are being used to attack his name under the guise of raising security concerns. The Interior boss further alleged that Gachagua has now roped in political allies from the Rift Valley to push his agenda further.
