ET: Apple has now revealed that the updates address a Screen Sharing vulnerability. Apple rolled out macOS Sonoma 14.8.9, macOS Sequoia 15.7.9, and macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 today, skipping developer and public betas altogether. Apple is rolling out point updates to three versions of macOS, all of which contain the following generic release notes:This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users. We’re keeping an eye on Apple’s security release pages and will report back once the company details what has been fixed. In the meantime, given the circumstances, Mac users running macOS Sonoma, Sequoia, or Tahoe may want to install the update sooner rather than later.
