The Madlanga commission has recommended the institution of disciplinary proceedings and immediate investigation of criminal conduct against the suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner for Crime Detection, Lt-Gen Shadrack Sibiya. Madlanga commission trouble for Shadrack SibiyaIt has made the same recommendations against Witness G, the suspended Gauteng South African Police Service (SAPS) Organised Crime Unit member Sgt Fannie Nkosi and North West businessman Brown Mogotsi. The commission made the recommendations in its second interim report, the Presidency said in a statement on Thursday (6 August). Witness G, who is a Crime Intelligence officer, testified in-camera about his relationship with Mogotsi, who claimed to have been a police informant. Witness G reportedly acted as his handler.
