When Anastasia Vaipan-Law announced her retirement from competitive figure skating in July, she “cried for three or four days straight”. Continuing pairs skating would have meant moving abroad to work with a new figure skating partner and uprooting her life in Dundee. Anastasia lives with her boyfriend Ross Graham, captain of Dundee United, and coaches children at Dundee Ice Arena. The couple, based at Dundee Ice Arena, are credited with turning the city into an ice skating powerhouse. Working alongside Simon and Debbi at Dundee Ice Arena, she is enjoying coaching children and is interested in potentially pursuing pair coaching.
