NET Web DeskKohima, Aug 6: A temporary bridge between Jharnapani and Molvom was washed away following incessant rainfall and flooding, disrupting road connectivity between Chumoukedima and Jalukie in Peren district. According to an official traffic advisory, commuters travelling between Chumoukedima and Jalukie have been asked to use alternate routes with immediate effect. Light motor vehicles can travel via 7th Mile Junction–Pimla Village through Shokhuvi Village, New Chumoukedima Iron Structure Bridge–Gaili Village through Ruzaphema Village, or Medziphema–Punglwa Village through Sirhi Angami Village or Sochunoma Village. Authorities have prohibited the movement of heavy motor vehicles on all the alternate routes. Heavy vehicles will be allowed to resume movement only after the temporary bridge between Jharnapani and Molvom is restored.
