The publication of the draft electoral rolls marks the commencement of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. The scrutiny and disposal of claims and objections will be carried out between August 5 and October 3, while the final electoral rolls will be published on October 7. The draft electoral rolls have been made available for public inspection at the offices of the Block Development Officers, the District Election Officer’s office in Williamnagar, and with all designated Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across polling stations in the district. The district has appointed three Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and five Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to examine and dispose of claims and objections. Electors aggrieved by any decision may file an appeal before the District Election Officer in accordance with the prescribed election procedures.
