The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Tuesday when debris and boulders suddenly rolled down a hillside, striking the Parsi Parlo Hydro Power project site. According to the District Information and Public Relations Officer, the deceased worker has been identified as Nobin Doley, a resident of Dhemaji district in Assam. The injured worker was immediately rushed for medical attention. Authorities have confirmed that the landslide was triggered by unstable slopes in the area, a recurring hazard during the monsoon season in the northeastern states.
