Supongmeren Jamir has urged the Central Government to immediately and transparently implement the Naga political agreements, stating that prolonged delays have created uncertainty and frustration among the Naga people. He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to expedite the implementation process, emphasizing that the Government of India has repeatedly stated that negotiations have concluded. He said the focus should now shift towards honouring the commitments made through timely and transparent implementation. Jamir cautioned that further delays could lead to increasing public dissatisfaction and the emergence of more aggrieved groups, potentially affecting the ongoing peace process. He also stressed that the implementation of the agreements should be transparent and reflect the aspirations and interests of the Naga people.
