Officers are using SelectaDNA forensic marking spray to identify e-bikes used in crimes across the city. The spray is used to mark the bicycles to link offenders to the crimes. It provides an “additional tool to support evidence gathering and offender identification”, a police spokesperson said. They said North Yorkshire Police has “embraced innovative technology and collaborative working with forces across the country” to tackle offences involving e-bikes.
