Eyewitnesses said caravans left Rufforth Playing Fields, off the B1224 Wetherby Road yesterday evening around 6.30pm (Wednesday, August 5). Villagers reported a lot of rubbish left behind with groups of locals taking part in a clear-up operation which involved filling a skip. As reported by The Press, an enforcement notice dated August 4 was posted in the playing fields car park, which is private land. "Several villagers were out in force last night and this morning to clear up the rubbish left behind.
