Crews from Basingstoke, Sutton Scotney and Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at around 2pm. They used hose reel jets and beaters to stop the fire, which had spread into the field, and farm workers used machinery to remove hay from the vicinity to prevent the fire spreading further.
