Holidaymakers heading to Majorca have been warned of 'biting fish' at some popular beach resorts, after a string of attacks were reported. In and around the beaches of Illetas and Cala Comtessa, in the municipality of Calvia, groups of people were nibbled and even bitten by small fish. Spanish news outlet Majorca Daily Bulletin reported the incidents, which bear striking similarity to a spike in small fish bites on the island back in 2023. Last year, an incident at Playa de Palma involved a woman who suffered a serious fish bite, sparking alarm. It's not the first time tiny fish have caused havoc in the popular Spanish holiday destinationAn 85-year-old Italian woman suffered the suspected fish bite on her calf while swimming.
