The West Duluth Cubs carry on the tradition of American Legion baseball. The West Duluth Cubs just wrapped up their season. Sponsored by the American Legion Post 71 out of West Duluth, the team had a great run, including doing well in the Substate tournament. And the baseball tradition, dates back to the beginnings of the organization. Swanson said they also support a girls fast pitch team, and that Minnesota is one of the states with the most baseball teams.
