Conor White said he is proud of his performances after becoming the island’s first track cyclist to compete at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The 26-year-old made his UCI track cycling debut just 11 months ago and said he arrived at the Games without expectations. “My goal was simple: give it everything I had, perform to the best of my ability, and see where I stacked up,” White said. White said he hopes his appearance will help raise the profile of track cycling in Bermuda. “I hope this is just the beginning and that it inspires the next generation of Bermudian cyclists to discover what’s possible in track cycling.
