The source reportedly stated, "Can't envision Lesnar walking away before one final payday in Saudi Arabia." Despite that announcement, history has left many fans and those within WWE cautious about taking the retirement at face value. That exit also proved temporary, as Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2025.
