South London council votes against adopting new transgender spaces guidance

The motion included a pledge to "proceed with non-implementation" of the EHRC guidance "should officers advise that this is a lawful option."
Green Party concernsZack Polanski, Green leader, described the EHRC guidance as "unworkable" and part of a broader campaign against transgender rights.
Political responseShadow equalities minister Claire Coutinho welcomed the implementation of the EHRC code.
"Yet too many organisations, including public services, are still not complying.
