The incident took place on Christ Church Road just before 11.40pm last night (August 5), and involved a black Smart car. The driver of the Smart car, a man in his 20s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while over the prescribed limit, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and causing death by driving while uninsured. Surrey Police closed the road overnight to carry out investigations, reopening it shortly after 9.45am.
