London Zoo's newest penguin has a very special name – here's why

The partnership will see London Zoo and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) develop nature-based activities and psychological interventions for young patients.
The new scheme launched with a visit to the zoo by children from the Mildred Creak Unit, who fed penguins at Penguin Beach and met Mildred the chick.

"This partnership with London Zoo is so special – our patients will follow Mildred as she grows and know there is a little bit of GOSH just down the road at the zoo."
The partnership forms part of GOSH’s wider Green Care programme, which seeks to integrate nature into patient care and recovery across the hospital.
