Popular country park issues warning after residents targeted by scam emails

Wellington Country Park has issued a warning after people in the Basingstoke area received fraudulent emails claiming to offer annual passes in exchange for personal details and payment information.
Wellington Country Park (Image: Google Maps)The park, based in Riseley near Reading, has confirmed that no such offers are currently being run and reminded residents that it does not request personal information or sell passes via email.
In an online statement, Wellington Country Park said: "We've been made aware of fraudulent emails falsely claiming to be from Wellington Country Park.
"The email name might state Wellington Country Park, but the email address could be wellingtoncountrypark.bookings@gmail.com, which is not us.
Wellington Country Park is a popular family attraction featuring an animal farm, adventure play areas, and seasonal events.
