The Procter & Gamble Company has snapped up the supplements company for $3.8 billion in cash after signing an agreement with consumer investment giant, L Catterton. Thorne has been operating since 1984, with L Catterton investing in the business in October 2023 after recognising the demand for clinical-based products and personalised healthcare. Colin Watts, CEO of Thorne, said, “L Catterton has been an outstanding partner over the past several years. “This is an important step for P&G’s Personal Health Care business,” added Paul Gama, CEO P&G Health Care. The move will also see P&G acquire Thorne from L Catterton’s Flagship Fund.
