The court has previously heard that the girl's partner left the caravan to go to the toilet when Taylor allegedly touched her, causing her to “freeze”. On Wednesday, Taylor, now 76, gave evidence at Ipswich Crown Court, where he has denied sexual assaulting the girl. Taylor said he asked the girl if he could touch her and she said yes. Taylor said he touched the girl intimately for around three minutes, but that he believed she was consenting. Cross-examining Taylor, prosecutor Joey Kwong asked what would be funny about a man in his 70s touching a teenager in an intimate manner.
