The blaze, which broke out at Dunwich Heath on July 29, has destroyed 370 acres of heathland and woodland, covering an area roughly the size of 200 football pitches. The incident is still classified as a major incident, with teams continuing to monitor the area and tackle small outbreaks. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service has around 600 firefighters, including 200 full-time and 400 on-call personnel. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is still under formal investigation.
