Suffolk Police officers were called to reports of a two-car crash at 4.15pm at junction 43 in the eastbound direction. A spokeswoman has confirmed that one vehicle has hit the central reservation and police officers are managing traffic at the scene. The other vehicle has made it onto the hard shoulder. There is no mention of any injuries in initial police reports. Traffic built along the eastbound carriageway, with drivers reported being stuck in a gridlock as far back as junction 42.
