Ceremony – Tell Me Your Dream

L.A. alt-punks Ceremony have suffered their share of growing pains.
However, their previous two full-lengths; 2015’s ‘The L Shaped Man’ and 2019’s ‘In The Spirit World Now’ saw them turn into a synth-wielding post-punk/new wave band.
It’s a pleasure to report, then, that ‘Tell Me Your Dream’ sees Ceremony get a lot of their mojo back.
The highest compliment that it can be paid is that this record feels like the band Ceremony are supposed to be.
Broadly, though, Ceremony have returned with a likeable and safe (a touch more fang-baring wouldn’t have gone amiss) record; punk rock stripped to its purest essentials.
