“That ramp was getting a little crooked and bumpy – it needed repairs,” DNR Parks and Trails Supervisor Dave Schotzko said. “We also extended it out further to help deal with the holes these bigger boats are creating. Bigger boats and lower water levels made us look at adding another plank or two on some of these boat ramps.” “With these bigger boats, a lot of the trailers are falling off the cement and getting hung up,” Schotzko said.
